Joanne de Rozario is a Producer & TV Presenter who works both in Malaysia and Singapore. She is a self-confessed “news junkie” and an avid F1 fan.

Even before graduating with a degree in Mass Communications and Journalism from California State University, Fresno, Joanne worked as a reporter with The New Straits Times and later did an internship with CBS affiliate station KJEO 47 On Your Side.

Joanne returned to Malaysia to join ntv7 where she was Head of Production for the News & Current Affairs Department. She then decided to venture into the world of entertainment programming, joining regional music network Channel [V] International as Supervising Producer and later STAR TV in Hong Kong, where she took on the role of Executive Producer. She also produced content for E! News Asia and was Executive Producer at HD lifestyle channel Life Inspired, also known as Li TV. She is currently Director of Programming & Production at Brand New Media in Singapore.

As a presenter, Joanne has anchored The Link on Li TV ntv7’s 7 News and The Breakfast Show, TV3’s Bizworld and Nightline as well as numerous special current affairs presentations and sporting events, including the Asian X-Games and the F1 World Championship

Throughout her career in both news and entertainment, Joanne has interviewed an array of people ranging from human rights activists and CEOs to celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Michelle Yeoh and Hugh Jackman as well as F1 drivers such as Kimi Raikkonen.

Joanne has also delved into the world of independent filmmaking, having produced the music documentary Laya Project. It won several awards, including the Founder’s Choice Award at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival and Best Film and the Byron Bay Film Festival.

Joanne has won several awards as an individual. In university, she was bestowed the Distinguished Graduate Award from the Department of Mass Communications & Journalism and Distinguished International Undergraduate of the Year at CSUF. As a TV presenter and producer, Joanne was honored with the Women Achiever’s Award by Neutrogena and Johnson&Johnson and was one of 100 personalities to be featured in the inaugural issue of Malaysia’s People At The Peak. In 2011, she was voted one of Prestige magazine's Top 40 Under 40 and won in her category.

When she is not in front of the camera or behind a desk, Joanne continues to record voiceovers and host events for various clients including BMW, Mercedes Benz, Sepang International Circuit, The Star, LG and Nikon.

In her free time, Joanne enjoys wakeboarding, discovering new music, reading, traveling and playing with her pet pooch.
